Wauquiez News

Dusseldorf Boat Show : 23rd - 31st January 2010.
Wauquiez will be at the show in Hall 16, Stand A54.

OCTOBER 2008 Yachting World magazine.
Read the report on the W55PS in this months magazine.

The Wauquiez 55, launched in Southampton, represents a further refinement of the Bluewater Pilot Saloon concept which was pioneered by the yard over 25 years ago. It joins the 41 and 47 to define the current range. Filled with light and air the 55PS is a luxury environment but with all the technical needs of long-distance cruising thought through and designed in. A boat for fast comfortable passages and the perfect homebase at any destination.

Many thanks to those who visited the Wauquiez stand at Excel - the stunning new W55PS was very well received and the first boat for a UK customer is on order and we will show her at the 2008 Southampton Show in September.

W55PS
We now have full details of the exciting new 55 foot Pilot Saloon from Wauquiez. The 55PS was launched at the Paris Show in late 2007 and we are now booking trial sails in France.

WAUQUIEZ 41PS
The new 41PS, successor to the highly successful 40PS - 0ver 120 built - was introduced at the 2005 Salon Nautique in Paris. Reaction to this re-styled update to the 40PS has been tremendous and we showed a 41PS at the Southampton Show in September 2006. We have full information and price lists available as well as access to a customer boat in the Solent.

The New 47PS took to the water for the first time in April 2005 and proved a joy to sail and retains the light and spacious feel that has always characterised the PS range - see photos.

We showed Hull No 1 at the Southampton International Boat Show in September 2005 and were delighted with the response to this innovative Ocean Cruiser

Full prices, brochures and specifications for the 47PS are available from the office, call Joy.

At the 2004 Southampton Boat Show we showed the first Centurion 45S with a dark blue hull and new alternative interior layout . Both have proved very popular in other European countries. We are now able to offer this blue Awl-grip finish on all Wauquiez yachts

GOING FASTER

If by chance you feel Pilot Saloons are still just a bit lacking in sailing performance, then you might be interested that Pilot Saloon 40 "Hypertension", owned by Bill Rickard in Dublin, won the Howth 2005 Winter series against a tough competitive fleet!

The August 2002 copy of Yachting Monthly contained an excellent review of the 40 Pilot Saloon (page 90). Concluding quote "As a cruising home for two people this is an impressive boat … that looks after her crew if the going gets tough" Re-prints are available from us on request.

The September 2002 Edition of Yachting World carried an article on a cruise along the coast near St Tropez in the Wauquiez 43PS. The boat was heavily featured.
